Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crackers, baguette slices, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix using a hand mixer until smooth.
  3. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until well incorporated.
  4. Gently fold in lump crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
  5. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper, green onions, lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Spoon the crab mixture into a greased baking dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until bubbling and golden on top.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving with crackers or bread.
