Ingredients:
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 can crab meat, drained
- 1 package bacon (approximately 12 slices)
Instructions:
- In a pot of boiling water, cook the shrimp until they are pink and opaque (about 2-3 minutes). Drain and allow to cool slightly.
- - Peel and devein the cooked shrimp if not done prior. - Drain the canned crab meat thoroughly using a strainer or paper towels.
- - On a sheet of wax paper, lay out half of a bacon strip. - Place one shrimp on top of the bacon. - Fill the curl of each shrimp with drained crab meat. - Roll the bacon around each shrimp, ensuring that all crab meat is secure inside.
- Use wooden skewers to secure each roll tightly. Place each skewer on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake in preheated oven until bacon starts to brown (around 8-10 minutes).
- Serve as an appetizer or munchy at gatherings. For a heartier meal, serve on a bed of wild rice accompanied by sweet and sour sauce.
