Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (optional)
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  3. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets, season with salt and pepper, and pour honey-ginger glaze over them. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the marinated salmon to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Optional: Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for a caramelized finish. Keep an eye to prevent burning.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
