Ingredients:

  • 1 package (13.2 oz) of frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed (approximately 375g)
  • 1 cup (150g) cooked white fish (e.g., cod or tilapia), flaked
  • 1/2 cup (80g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60g) finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup (15g) fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flaked fish, cream cheese, onion, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares (approximately 4x4 inches).
  5. Place a spoonful of the fish filling in the center of each square.
  6. Fold the pastry over to create triangles or roll them into cylindrical shapes, sealing edges with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to ensure a golden finish.
  8. Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
