Ingredients:
- 12 large sea scallops (about 1 pound or 450 grams)
- 6 slices of thick-cut bacon (about 6 ounces or 170 grams), cut in half
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil (30 ml)
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder (5 grams)
- 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika (5 grams)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Take each scallop and wrap it with a half slice of bacon, secure with a toothpick or kitchen twine if desired.
- Place the wrapped scallops on a parchment-lined baking sheet
- Lightly drizzle olive oil over the scallops.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and scallops are opaque, checking for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
