Ingredients:
- 2 bone-in, skin-on turkey thighs (approx. 1 lb each)
- 1.5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Pat the turkey thighs excessively dry with paper towels to remove all surface moisture. Let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to create a thick spice paste.
- Massage the spice paste over the entirety of the turkey thighs, ensuring coverage under the skin where possible to trap internal juices.
- Place the thighs in the air fryer basket skin-side up. Ensure there is space between them for airflow.
- Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 25–30 minutes. Do not flip the meat.
- Use a digital meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) at the thickest part of the thigh before removing.
