Ingredients:
- 2 swordfish steaks (1-inch thick, approx. 6–8 oz each)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 tsp sea salt
- 0.25 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 lemon, half zested and juiced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Pat the swordfish steaks completely dry with paper towels to ensure a golden sear. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the seasoning mixture generously over all sides of the swordfish fillets.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry for 10 minutes total, using tongs to flip the steaks halfway through at the 5-minute mark.
- Check the internal temperature at 8-10 minutes. Remove the steaks once they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Let the fish rest for 2 minutes before serving.
