Ingredients:

  • 2 swordfish steaks (1-inch thick, approx. 6–8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.25 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 lemon, half zested and juiced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Pat the swordfish steaks completely dry with paper towels to ensure a golden sear. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon zest, garlic powder, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brush the seasoning mixture generously over all sides of the swordfish fillets.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  4. Air fry for 10 minutes total, using tongs to flip the steaks halfway through at the 5-minute mark.
  5. Check the internal temperature at 8-10 minutes. Remove the steaks once they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Let the fish rest for 2 minutes before serving.
