Ingredients:
- 2 swordfish steaks, 6 oz each
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
Instructions:
- Pat the swordfish steaks completely dry with paper towels to ensure a proper sear.
- Brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil.
- Rub the salt and black pepper evenly into the flesh.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, smoked paprika, and dried oregano.
- Spoon the marinade over the steaks, coating all sides and edges, and let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them for airflow.
- Air fry for 5 minutes per side.
- Check with a meat thermometer; remove when the internal temperature reaches 130°F-135°F (54°C-57°C) for a medium finish.
