Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Pacific Cod fillets
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. Pat the cod fillets completely dry on all sides using paper towels.
  2. Lightly brush both sides of the fillets with avocado oil and season with sea salt and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil until the honey is fully integrated and glossy.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Place the fillets in the basket in a single layer and air fry for 5–7 minutes.
  6. Open the basket and use a pastry brush to generously coat the top of each fillet with the sesame ginger glaze.
  7. Air fry for an additional 3–4 minutes until the glaze bubbles and turns a deep mahogany color.
  8. Remove the cod from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
