Ingredients:

  • 2 sea bass fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped (or use dried if unavailable)
  • Zest of half a lemon
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the sea bass fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Brush this mixture over both sides of the sea bass fillets.
  3. In another bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, lemon zest, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until well mixed.
  4. Press the herb mixture firmly onto one side of each seasoned sea bass fillet so that it adheres well.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about five minutes while you finish preparing your fish.
  6. Place the coated sea bass fillets in the air fryer basket with the crust side facing up. Cook at 400°F for approximately 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach at least 145°F). If your air fryer is smaller or if you have thicker fillets, check them after about ten minutes to avoid overcooking.
  7. Carefully remove from air fryer; let rest for a minute before serving.
  8. Serve with additional lemon wedges on top or on the side for squeezing over as desired!
