Ingredients:
- 2 sea bass fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped (or use dried if unavailable)
- Zest of half a lemon
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the sea bass fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
- In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Brush this mixture over both sides of the sea bass fillets.
- In another bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, parsley, dill, lemon zest, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss until well mixed.
- Press the herb mixture firmly onto one side of each seasoned sea bass fillet so that it adheres well.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about five minutes while you finish preparing your fish.
- Place the coated sea bass fillets in the air fryer basket with the crust side facing up. Cook at 400°F for approximately 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach at least 145°F). If your air fryer is smaller or if you have thicker fillets, check them after about ten minutes to avoid overcooking.
- Carefully remove from air fryer; let rest for a minute before serving.
- Serve with additional lemon wedges on top or on the side for squeezing over as desired!
