Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs fresh salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp crust. Use a sharp chef's knife to cut the salmon into uniform 1-inch cubes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and optional cayenne.
- Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and toss gently until every side is evenly coated in the glaze.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching for optimal air circulation.
- Air fry at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Gently shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
- Remove the salmon once the edges are golden-brown and charred. Ensure the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C) and serve immediately.
