Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs fresh salmon fillets, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp crust. Use a sharp chef's knife to cut the salmon into uniform 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and optional cayenne.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and toss gently until every side is evenly coated in the glaze.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they are not touching for optimal air circulation.
  5. Air fry at 400°F for 6 to 8 minutes. Gently shake the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
  6. Remove the salmon once the edges are golden-brown and charred. Ensure the internal temperature has reached 145°F (63°C) and serve immediately.
