Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) black pepper
- 1 tablespoon (7g) cornstarch
Instructions:
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch over the shrimp and toss again until well coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) if required. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches.
- Air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and slightly crispy. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the air fryer shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
