- 1 tsp (5g) Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (3g) Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp (6g) Sea salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) Black pepper
- 2 medium (1 lb / 450g) Sweet potatoes
- 1 tbsp (15ml) Avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp (3g) Sea salt
Instructions:
- Slice sweet potatoes into uniform 1/4-inch strips and submerge them in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Pat the cod fillets completely dry using paper towels to prevent steaming.
- Rub olive oil into the cod fillets, then evenly coat with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and pat them bone-dry with paper towels.
- Toss the dried sweet potatoes in a bowl with avocado oil and salt.
- Place sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket and air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes.
- When the chips have 8–10 minutes remaining, push them to the sides of the basket and place the seasoned cod fillets in the center.
- Increase the air fryer temperature to 400°F (204°C) and cook until the fish is flaky and the chips are mahogany-colored and rigid.
